Beta Status & Pricing

What "free in beta" means, current limits, what happens when paid plans arrive, and what beta users keep.

SkillPark is free while in beta

Everything currently in the product — self-learner mode, classrooms, AI card drafting from text and files, progress tracking — is free. No credit card, no trial countdown, no feature meter waiting to spring.

“Beta” means the product is young and moving fast, and we’d rather have your feedback than your money while we shape it.

Current limits

Free-beta accounts have generous-but-real limits:

Free beta
Self-learner saves 5 per day
Classrooms owned 5 per teacher
Students per classroom 35
Published assignments per classroom 5 at once
AI credits 400 per teacher per month (about 50 AI decks)
Files per assignment 3, up to 10 MB each
Student building designs 4 per student, one-off

Hand-written cards are always free and unlimited. Full detail: Classroom Limits.

Hitting a limit for a real pilot? Email support@skillpark.app — we’d rather raise your limit than lose your class.

When paid plans arrive

The plan (not a promise of dates):

  • A free tier stays, permanently — roughly the shape of today’s limits.
  • Paid tiers will raise classroom sizes, assignment counts, AI credits, and add co-teacher seats.
  • Nothing you built gets taken away. Your park, buildings, streaks, and review history are yours regardless of tier. If a future limit is lower than what you already have, existing data is grandfathered — you’d only feel a cap on new growth.
  • Pilot teachers get direct notice well before any change affects their classroom.

Giving feedback

Beta feedback genuinely steers the roadmap. Anything confusing, broken, or missing: support@skillpark.app.
